In the meantime on the ISS - Ammonia leak fixed

News reports have been all over the media about the liquid ammonia leak at the International Space Station. On May 9, astronauts aboard the ISS noticed small white "snowflakes", the frozen ammonia coolant, floating around outside the station.

The ammonia cools the solar array panels that power the station. Astronauts Chris Cassidy and Tom Marshburn went for a five and a half hour spacewalk yesterday to investigate and fix the problem. They found no signs of damage, but they replaced a coolant pump controller box, and the leaking appears to have stopped for now.
